Pikabo is a Poland-wide adoption base for dogs and cats looking for gardens to dig in, sofas to claim, and people to love. It gives shelters a clean portal and an adopt-widget they can drop straight onto their own site, so every animal is one click from the family who has been looking for exactly them.

A dog in a shelter in one corner of Poland and the family who would adore him three towns over rarely find each other. Shelters have no agency budget, volunteers who will never touch a website admin, and listings that go stale across every place they appear at once. And because the cause is personal, the writing has to feel human, not like rows in a database.

Pikabo is a Poland-wide adoption portal plus an embeddable widget a shelter drops onto its own site with two lines. The widget is isolated with Shadow DOM so it cannot break the host page or be broken by it, is built to WCAG 2.1 AA, and carries an iframe fallback, and a no-code maker page generates the copy-paste snippet for non-technical volunteers. A voice-note pipeline lets a carer speak for two minutes and get warm, publication-ready copy back, with a human approving every word before it goes live. Update a record once and every portal, regional view and partner embed updates with it.
Live with a real shelter, real animals, real photos.
Pikabo is piloting with the Orzechowce shelter, wired up with the shelter's own photos rather than placeholders. The first dogs and cats on the base are genuinely looking for homes.
Being straight about where it is: Pikabo is an early prototype. The pilot and the portal run today, the photos are Orzechowce's own, but it is still being built, so expect rough edges as it grows.

Pikabo was built for shelters, but the shape is general.
